The announcement that certain government agencies are seeking (pdf) the abilty to gain personal information from telecommunications companies without court orders is terrifying to say the least. Our clone government has learned nothing from the morons in the White House south of us? You would think that after the fallout from illegal wiretapping and spying on their own, the US experience would rub off a little... guess not.
