Baird continues to embarrass Canada
UN Climate talks in Bali have again shown Canada's unwillingness to do anything with regards to Climate Change (yeah the old school "Global Warming" has very nearly been erased from all of our memory banks thanks to the great propoganda machine known as the media). In fact, it is really sad and very embarassing to see Baird stand up there and spout out abotu how we will do nothing until others are made to do something. Yep. That's pretty much it.
Environment Minister John Baird held firm to his view that any successor treaty to the Kyoto Protocol must set binding conditions on countries like the United States, China and India.Canada's stance is nothing less than hypocritical. Of all the countries mentioned by Baird, Canada is in a far better economical position to exact change and yet we stand by and do nothing except point fingers. This seems to be a carry over of the Tory election strategy as well. Hollow policy beeffed up with a lot of finger pointing.
Let's get soemthing straight. The Tories don't give a damn about Climate Change. If it puts a crimp on today's economy, then tomorrow's problems don't matter. The problem is that tomorrow's problems are beginning to effect us today, and they don't get it.
