Latest Al Qaeda Threat A Ruse?

With the news of threats againt London from the 2nd highest leader of Al Qaeda, one has to really wonder what is up. The media has been all over this for ages now, and the world's eyes are drawn fully towards Great Britannia. It would be a perfect time to attack again, with the press already bracing for it as if it were inevitable.
It gets me thinking though. If there were going to be more attacks, would it not make sense to attack somewhere else? The US? Maybe an Embassy somewhere unsuspecting? They already have a success in England, with thousands of police patrolling everywhere, and the citizens living in fear. I think that simply having millions of people wondering when and where is enough for now.
Of course, I am not suggesting it is a joke, or that peopel should not be wary. I just think it is suspicious is all...
