Well time to get to know your buddy's feelings as Brett Hull would say. Today marked the deadline for the latest offers between the NHLPA and the NHL.
NHL ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF 2004-05 SEASON
NEW YORK (February 16, 2005) - The National Hockey League announced today that, because a new collective bargaining agreement has not been realized, it no longer is practical to conduct an abbreviated 2004-05 season.
"This is a sad, regrettable day that all of us wish could have been avoided." - Gary Bettman
Yep. Sad day. Oh well, I was getting sick of watching these guys get paid millions and put out no effort. I will gladly support the local Red Deer Rebels now! Like they could have had a 28 game season anyways... what a joke.
