Hurricane Katrina: Blog For Relief Day
(This entry will remain at the top of the page today. Scroll down for other updates!)
Today has been deemed "Hurricane Katrina: Blog For Relief Day" by a very large group of bloggers based around The Truth Laid Bear.
New Orleans...
As we are well aware, the Hurricane has wreaked total havoc along the entire Gulf Coast. As it sits now, thousands of people in New Orleans and along the coast are feared dead, and many more are homeless without food, clothing, shelter or anything. There are health concerns especially considering the bodies of some of the dead are floating around while rescue operations are underway.
The Wake of Katrina
Millions of people have no power. The property damage is unimagineable and could take years to rebuild. Looting is widespread, and officials are having a bad time simply trying to stop them, never mind rescuing people and helping the injured. People NEED help.

Please consider donating generously to any of the charities listed at the bottom of the Hub site in an effort to help bring relief to the people who desperately need it. Put aside your political, religious or racial biases. This is no time for childishness. Many thousands of people have no homes.
